Where do ingredients come from? Ingredients & Portions
Ingredients are loaded from the central ingredient catalog so names and units stay consistent. Administrators can create, edit, deactivate or delete ingredients.
How do I change portions? Ingredients & Portions
Use the minus and plus controls in the detail view. Amounts are recalculated automatically. Quantities are displayed as whole values and pieces are always rounded up. Example: 0.375 pieces becomes 1 piece.
Why are decimal places hidden? Ingredients & Portions
The platform intentionally displays whole quantities for practical shopping and cooking. This affects display only; the underlying recipe quantity remains available for calculations.
